My Black Friday deals

So I thought I'd share with you what deals I was able to get from all the Black Friday "sales".  I only shopped at Walgreen's for black  Friday for a few reasons , one I don't have a ton of money laying around to waste on these so called deals and two Walgreen's was really the only place I saw shopping there was worth my while . I'm still building my stockpile and the benefit of shopping at Walgreen's was that I was able to build up some points and get Register rewards "aka money to spend in store" back so I could buy more without really spending more money. So the deals are Walgreen's were running weird to me at least it seemed like , First off  their Ads are usually weekly which means you can score those prices all week long until Saturday at Midnight .For black Friday they were doing 3 day ad 1  ran from Sunday to Wednesday and another ran from Thursday - Saturday.  So I'm not sure if this is how every black Friday at Walgreen's will be  since I  have never shopped black Friday at Walgreen's before or couponed on black Friday before for that matter . So once you figure out how and when the deals are its a lot easier , I know I would of gotten more stuff if I had realized the 3 day ad thing before hand . So on to what I bought and how I scored my personal best oop for the amount of stuff I ended up getting .

Vocab which will make this easier to understand :

RR means Register reward there slips of paper that have a $ amount on them which you can use to buy more items in Walgreen's .

OOP  means out of pocket which is what you pay for the items in  total.

POINTS are what you earn on your Walgreen's wellness card its a Rewards card which you can use the points like cash once you hit the 5000 mark .

I bought these items to pay for the next transactions as listed .

Transaction #1

Buy 1 Playtex tampons sports or gentle glide 18 count Sale price $3.99 each

Math :

1 @ $3.99 - $1 off coupon from inserts = $3.23 including 8% tax
Get back $2.00 RR to use on next purchase

Buy 1 Revlon Lipstick or lip gloss Sale price was $7.99 each
Math :

1 @ 7.99 - $2.00 coupon from coupons.com = $6.47 including 8% tax
Get back $5 in RR to use on next purchase

Buy 1 Cepacol throat drop 4ct sale price $1 each

Math :

1 @ $1 = $1
Get back $1 RR to use on next purchase

Buy 4 Carmex lip products sale price is  $4/4

Math :

4 carmex at $4/4 - (2) $1/2 coupons from coupons.com = $2 per set of 4

So I did it 2 times so
8 Carmex-(4) $1/2 coupons = $4.32 oop

Get back 2000 point on your Walgreen's card which is equal to $2 cash to spend in store .

TOTAL OOP was $14.94
and I made $8 in RR and 2120 points = $10 to spend in store

Next Transaction #2

Buy 4 Cottonelle toilet paper 12ct packs  sale price is $3.99- (4) $2.00 off coupons
= $1.99 per package  which makes the total $8.27  for (4) 12 packs including the 8% tax .

Buy 6 Lysol wipes sale price is $1.99 each

$1.99 • 2 = $3.98 for 2
$3.98-$2.00 off 2 coupon = $1.98 per 2 Lysol wipes.

So 6 containers of Lysol wipes -
(3) $2.00/2 coupons = 6.42 including tax

Get back 500 points per set of 2 Lysol products so you'll  get 1500 points back total.

Total oop would be around $14.69 but with coupons and RR I spent $8.13 total.

TOTAL SPENT so far is $23.07

Transaction #3-#22

Buy 1 box Playtex tampons 18ct sale price $3.99

Buy studio nail polish remover  sale price .99cents

Use $1.00/1 Playtex tampons coupon

Pay $4.38 oop

Next

Buy  11  Gum two pack toothbrushes sale price is .49cents each

Use $3.00 RR

Total oop $2.82

Next

Buy 1 crest 3D white toothpaste  sale is $3 each and get back $3. RR

Use $3 RR from previous transaction and pay .24 tax .

Repeat this 13 times by using the RR that prints on the next toothpaste .

Next buy another crest 3D toothpaste and use a $2.00 RR and pay $1.24

Then use the $3 RR to buy another crest toothpaste (pay .24cents) and then use the $3 RR to buy another and pay .24 cents oop.

Then lastly for my final transaction I bought  a box of Playtex tampons  and used a  $3 RR  from the crest toothpaste and paid $1.31 total since I didn't have another $1.00 off coupon with me .

Total For translations #3-#22 was $12.59

This made my grand total for everything $35.66 and $1.00 in points . If I didn't use coupons I would of spend somewhere near $100 if not more !   I ended up making $65+ in RR which I rolled to lower my oop cost and I still had $2 in RR to spend later .

I also ended up picking up a few 8x10 photos free from Walgreen's with a discount code. Walgreen's occasionally has these codes available to get different  free prints from there photo center. So always keep an eye out for them !
